Särkäniemi and Mummy's bday :)

So on Monday we visited Särkäniemi. It's the biggest amusement park in Finland, located in Tampere. Somewhat 160km north of Salo. There's a another amusement park in Linnanmäki, but it is a bit smaller. Plus Särkäniemi has dolphins!! And for a few years now, Angry Bird Land.

We left home around 9.30, but were on our way by 10. Closer to Tampere I took a short break, but we reached just before 12.30. So first we had lunch in the parking lot then up to buy tickets. Got the wrist band for my cousin and her older daughter, me and her husband just wanted to see the dolphins so bought the ticket for that :D The next show was at 15, so we had time to look around and even the kids got to ride a couple rides.
The dolpin show was pretty good, but the one two years ago was much better. By the time it ended I was desperate for a nap, so we agreed on a time to meet my cousin and to the car I went! Bad idea!!! The car was so HOT!! Didn't want to waste the cars battery by turning on the AC so just gave up. Spent the rest of the day by taking care of the little one while her mom and sister go on rides. My cousin rode the almost all of the rides and I bought a ticket to ride one with her :)
We left Särkäniemi around 19 and ate at Hesburger. Long time since I'd eaten there :D When we reached home, i went straight to bed.

Wednesday was moms 50th birthday. Me and Vip made her a collage from old pics and some newer ones. We found some of her childhood and collage pics and went through our Australia albulms and chose a few from there. In the end we had about 14 pics to copy. At the shop I decided to take a few away cause getting them copied was so expensive. To fill in the gaps I took some pics from the computer and scaled them down a bit. On Sunday (before Särkäniemi) me and Vip quickly made it while everyone was sleeping, but mom still managed to come in the room when I was finishing it up. I don't think she saw anything then. I told Vip to go buy the frame for it before Wednesday and he did. Dad had ordered iPad for mummy, but it hadn't arrived till Tuesday so we were panicking about it a bit. But thankfully it did arrive on Wednesday :D
For the cake I made a simple strawberry-cream cake and Dhriti helped me make it :) after lunch we were after mummy to change her clothes so we could start the celebrations properly. Took her long enough, but by the time she was getting ready we packed last of the gifts. We'd given the collage (card) at midnight, so that was done. Mom had bought herself a shirt so we packed that in my iPad Mini box to troll her and stacked the gifts so, that she'd oped that one first. After the cake we made her open them and she even said that she didn't expect us to get her an iPad when opening the fake packet. But the we made her open the last one and was totally surprised :D After having cake the sun was shining so we went outside to take pics.

For dinner mummy made Shai Paneer, papa made his Varanasi style Matar Aloo and didi made mine and Vips favorite Butter Chciken! The best home-made butter chicken I've had in a long time <3

That night I couldn't sleep. I got restless legs, so whenever I fell asleep my legs decided to start kicking on it's own. Got so frustrated -.-'
So I got up when I heard others were awake and went out. I think by 11 I went back to sleep and finally slept~ Thankfully I woke a couple hours before my cousin would be leaving for the airport, so got to say bye to them :)

On Friday I met Emmi after a long time. She asked me to help her buy a dress for our themed girls night next Friday (/Mid-Summer party). The theme is Sex and the City :P Only a couple weeks ago there were many nice party dresses and now it was so hard to find something decent. Our last stop was H&M. She found something and went to try it, while I stayed behind to look for a top I'd seen earlier. By chance when going towards the fitting room I glanced at the sale rack and found the perfect dress for her!! So happy she decided to buy it!! Now just hoping she'll wear it on Friday :D I already know what I'm gonna wear :)
Tried to get Heli to come to Salo for mid-summer, but she decided to stay with family. Well maybe we'll see each other another time this year.
