Juhannus!! and other stuff

This weekend we celebrated the longest day of the year aka mid-summer aka Juhannus. On Friday I had a girls night with my two other closest friends Emmi and Hanna <3 we decided to do a "Sex and the City" themed party so had to dress up for it.

One week ago Emmi asked me to help her choose a dress for the party and of course I would! We went to all the shops, but they didn't have those kind of dresses anymore! The last shop we went to was H&M and Emmi did find a dress so she went to try it on, while I was looking for another size for a top we noticed earlier. When going towards the fitting room I noticed on the sale rack a awesome looking lace LBD. I did fall in love with it and looked for Emmis size. They had it!! Quickly rushed to Emmi and gave it to her. She then decided to buy that and the one she chose, but didn't know yet which one to wear for the party. I, of course, said that the lace one is perfect for it. The  on this Friday, before I could even ask which one she chose, she told me that she took the lace one with her cause her boyfriend also liked it :D happy me was happy~ 

I took, with me, a dress mom had bought from India for me. It's kinda 60's style, but good for our theme. Hanna wore a black dress also. 

We decided we'll all bring something to eat and I made a cheesecake for the first time. You'd think that since I love cheesecake I'd have made it many times already, but no. I had tried a few times, but something always went wrong until I found this very simple recipe. It came out perfect! Everybody loved it! we had guests at home so left them a big piece and they all loved it also. :)

I took strawberries to eat with the cake, Emmi brought fruits and Hanna made chicken pie~

Before eating we went for sauna. Very traditional for juhannus! Though people usually celebrate it at their summer cottage, have BBQ and sauna all day. At least we got to have sauna :D 

So after eating we got ready to party~ We got ready I  time so left to have a drink at a terrace bar cause the sun came out. But when we got to the city noticed that almost all of them were closed!! Except for one. Anyways, we had 30min to pass until the proper place opened.

We'll then we danced all night~ Met a group of guys and they weren't from Salo! Who the hell comes to Salo to party xD the guy from Tampere had family or something in Pertteli so came here for Juhannus.
We left after 3am and the sun was already rising! Welcome to Finland~

Next day, when Juhannus is actually celebrated, Markus called me to invite me to Annika's place. First I said no, cause I was tired, but kinda wanted to spend time with them so went after all. Akira was singing karakoe when I arrived and I said immediately I ain't singing today cause I had no voice left xD later in the evening I ended up singing Hurricane by 30 Seconds to Mars <3 We played a couple of board games, Isäntä vs. Emätntä and a Mr. Bean game. I left around 23 made me an epic chicken grilled sandwich, watched Frozen and went to sleep

Today dad still wanted to go watch Edge of Tomorrow so we went to Turku to watch it. It was ok. Better then Oblivion!! xD The end was dumb, dunno why they left it like that. Of course they'll get together! 

After coming home I finished watching Orphan Black. I started watching it last week cause I wanted to know what all the fuss is about. Well, it is awesome! That Helena is all sorts of problems!! And Tatiana Maslany deserve so much recognition!! I mean, she plays min. 4 characters each episode then comes two more. And all of them so different! I'd go crazy having to act so many different personalities. Good finale! Didn't have a annoying cliffhanger like Castle and Bones. 

    

Before Juhannus I did some more henna :) I think the back hand came out pretty good!
