An ode to the bullies!

So it's been quite a while since I last posted something. A lot has happened, settled back home, worked at a KappAhl for a month and liked it so much there. Got into college to study to be teachers assistant. Loving it so far :)
Started work practice at an after-school club and it's been going pretty well. Work hours are short, but it's not all that easy there.

So the main reason I'm writing now is that I had a dream few nights ago, that brought back some bad-ish memories. In the dream I was attending some party at my old school and I was wearing something nerdy. I like to know think that it was my 10th Doctor t-shirt I just got :D. Anygays, that started a discussion between some guys that how "nerdy" they also are. I happened to over-hear it and got kinda angry. So I started a speech, which kinda is true and maybe a bit exaggerated.. You be the judge :D

"How dare you say that you are "nerds". A true nerd escaped all the horrible stuff that happened to him/her at school. All the hurting and bulling that was done to them. We escaped the real world into the fictional one hoping to be someone, to have the courage to stand up to the bullies. I used to hope to be Sailor Moon, to want to go to Hogwarts, to be a Mutant and waited that the Doctor will save me from this place and show me the universe.
You and your stupid-ass friends did all the hurting. So no, you can never be one of us!"

And then I spate in his face!! And trust me, I woke up very satisfied :D

A friend had posted this song on her blog and I fell in love with it. Such a inspirational song and I listen to it whenever I've felt a bit pissed or something. :)

Hmm... What else...

Well I just finished watching all the X-Men movies and now so excited for X-Men: Days of Futures Past! ALSO only 12 more days till the Doctor Who 50th anniversary!!! The trailer came out just yesterday and I've seen it over 10 times now. Here's the 50th Trailer. Oh, so happy to see Tennant and Piper back! <3

Today is Father's Day and just about to go see Thor! oh, Loki~  Also, a friend showed me a article where Ecclestone tells how he learnt Finnish for his role in Thor, so the Doctor speaks Finnish!! *geekgasm*
Which reminds me to mention that people really need to check out the Nerdist podcast! They just had Marvel week and the guests were Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), Tom Hiddlestone (Loki) and last Kevin Feige. They also got Saorise Ronan who talks about her upcoming movie How I Live Now. She's so sweet!! And I love her accent!
Tom Hiddlestone wasn't bad either, plus he talked a bit in scottish accent then said something in French, then in the end said "Enjoy your burrito" as Loki~~
They also had Daniel Radcliffe which was a huge surprise. It was a good episode. I think I will send them a "quemment" today, just saying how awesome the all are and how thankful I am to their podcast. These episodes can be found here: Nedist podcast. Or iTunes.

Also started listening to a podcast called Mental Illness Happy Hour. Now that's a bit darker, cause the guests talk about problems they have dealt with. Kinda started in the middle, with Chris Hardwick's episode and heard a bit of someone else's.

So that's that. Might write again after the 50th anniversary episode, or might take a longer time :D we'll see... Until then!!

Lots has happened and I'm back home!!

HI!! So it's been a long time since I've written anything (kinda guessed this would happen, but thankfully found some time now :) )

So, we'll go back to the time I was still in UK.

When my time with my family there was coming to an end, I decided that I'd like to stay a little longer and my host mum introduced me to one of her friends. They also take in au pairs and we agreed that I'll start with them after the current family will move back to India.
The last few week with the first family were a bit hectic and I had lots of babysitting hours with the kids, also during weekends. Kinda was bummed that I wasn't able to go to London and meet people, but I understood that they need me. On their last weekend it was the little ones 2nd birthday and we celebrated it with pizza and cake~  there was no furniture, because all of it was shipped off to India a few days earlier.
I was supposed to start with the new family on Tuesday evening, but my hostmum called them to ask if they could pick me up on Wednesday, in the evening. The reason was cause there was still so much to clean and they left 9am, so I stayed there to clean up.

In the new family there was also two kids, 12yo girl and 10yo boy. They were nice kids, but i still didn't get along with the family and since dad hadn't anyways booked my return ticket, I'm gonna just stay in Finland and figure out what to do.

So, on my last two weekends got to go to London and met up with Taru and Piritta.
The first weekend we went to Portobello Rd. and it was awesome!!! If I ever end back visiting London again, I'm going there and with money!! Wanted to buy a 1920's edition of Study in the Scarlet, which was £25, but no monies!!
Also I managed to twist my right ankle again... but didn't want to go home, so stuck it up and continued with the trip. In the evening we went to Stradford where there was a music festival going on and met Piritta there. By the time we were going to the place my ankle was aching quite a lot so I decided to just go home. And good thing I did, cause it took me two hours to get home.

For the last weekend I wanted to stay there for the whole weekend, so got in touch with a family friend who lives there and got to stay two nights at their place! :) I wanted to get there early, but since I was able to leave home a bit late, I missed the train and reached their place just before 22.
Next day we had planned to meet Taru at Westminister Abbey, but when I got there I saw that it's £18 and I knew Taru couldn't go.. so we ended up meeting at Harrods! Wasn't supposed to do any shopping there, but the books were same price so thought, I do need to buy the Dorian Grays Picture anyways and would get the Harrods bag with it~  but then I also ended up buying a game called Analyze Me and some candies. Haven't yet played it, but it does seem fun :D
We'd spent more then two hours there. Over at the kids section there were Harry Potter and LOTR merch!!! I was thinking if the wands weren't too expensive I'd buy one for me... but they were... and inside I was crying. After that we were gonna meet Piritta at Leicester Sq. but the train we were on was going till Kings Cross, which was still after the station where we were supposed to change trains. Quickly we decided that we'll go to Kings Cross and see Platform 9 3/4!! When we got there the line for the trolley was too long so we just got a quick pic from the side. Really would've loved to take a proper pic, cause you get to wear the Gryffindor scarf and the guy holds it up while the lady counts to three, after which he lets go and you friend (or whoever) can take a pic.

But before meeting we were on our way to St. Pauls cathedral. And it was freeee~ but weren't allowed to take pics from the inside. Doesn't matter, the outside was pretty awesome also :D

Then we finally found ourselves at Leicester Sq. but Piritta was at Oxford St.! well then we wait. By the time she came, me and Taru were so hungry that we went into China Town.

Piritta and me @ China Town

Telephone booth! too bad it wasn't a TARDIS :/

At Piccadilly Circus after dinner

And so the day had come to an end, and soon my stay in London. My flight back was five days later.
That was a long day. Woke up at 7am and was dropped at the station just before 10. My card wasn't working so thankfully my host dad paid for the ticket :)
I had two-ish hours of waiting at Gatwick and then three hours to Oslo airport where I had 1,5 hours of wait for my flight to Vantaa. We landed on time and was happy that I'd get the bus on time, but then the baggage took it's time to come and I'd started to panic. Still got the bus on time and dad came to pick me at the bus stop. Drove home from there!! and I stayed on the right side!!! :DD

On Friday I met Akira and Kikka~  and sat was the foam party at Tivoli so before that started I'd met up with Henna, Hanna, Toni, Timo, Emmi and Roope... damn I'd missed them all sooo much!!!!
Foam party was super fun even though I did leave early.
Then during the week I just went on errands etc. Now just need to get a job...

Till next time then!! When I'll write about Doctor Who again! :D

Went to see the Queen...

...Well, not really!!

Ohk, so went to London yesterday to see Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey and then had lunch in front of Big Ben! Then went to South Bank to past some time and find a place to just hang out.

Worked a little bit in the morning then it was a quick getting ready to leave, cause hostmum said she can drop me at the station. I was in London a bit earlier so went to Tottenham Court first to pass time. Found a big books store, so obviously went in! Finally found the book I've been looking for, cause I finished the previous one weeks ago and need to know what happens! Then went to Charing Cross to meet Taru. Well finding each other was just a bit hard, but we did. There was a Gay Pride happening going on so there was tons of people and the Square was packed full. While walking toward the Palace some random dude just asked me to take his pic... Sure why not! :D
From there we walked to the Palace and took some pics, after which we went to Westminister Abbey. It was bloody closed!!! Must go another time there also.
At Buckingham Palace

Westminister Abbey

So after checking out the abbey from outside we walked towards Big Ben and got us something to eat, then to the small park area to eat lunch in front of Big Ben!! so epic~!! We sat there for quite a while thinking what to do next and we finally decided on walking to South Bank to find a pub.

Taru and me

We took some great pics while walking there and since I had walked the South Bank twice I was a bit familiar with the place. There were a couple good places we could've gone, but it was so packed full that we just continued walking, Then I thought lets check out if there's anywhere close to the station when we noticed that this one place "Limbo, the Show" place had a bar and didn't need to pay to go in there. So we got mojitos and spent the rest of our time there :)

(Date of this was 29.6... sry for the late post :D)

Sandman forgot about me.

It's literally 11pm while I'm writing this! Also typing on my iPod, so slooow.
So it's been a couple days since I realised I haven't posted anything for quite a while now! So a quick re-cap of what's been happening: nothing! The past couple weeks have been boring, cause I haven't really done anything much :D both weekends stayed home and just went to Camberley. First, I hate going to the movies alone! I don't mind watching movie alone, it's the buying ticket -part that I hate. Went to buy tickets for The Great Gatsby and the guy almost gave me tickets for two. Then he made me confirm it a million times that I'm buying just one! Yes, just me! The movie was great! Gatsby kinda confuses me, so defiantly gonna get the novel. Leo was awesome, as always and I do love Carey Mulligan.
Then last week I saw Man of Steel. I kinda avoided reading about it for quite a long time, but then I listened to the press-conference on the Nerdist podcast (which I recommend to all the nerds out there!!) and found out stuff that made me want to see the movie immediately! Loved that too!! and love how different it was from the older movies.

Rest of my time has mostly been with the kids. So this family is going back to India soon and couple weeks ago I decided I would want to stay. So my lovely hostmum contacted a family she knew that might be looking for an au pair and last night it got confirmed that I would be continuing to their family :) I will be visiting Finland in the last week of July and I can't wait!! Missing my friends and family so much, but also need to get used to living far away.  But can't wait to be back. Also missing ruisleipä!

On Saturday gonna visit London again. Excited~ So stay tuned!!

Had a Blast!!

Finally went clubbing this weekend!! Last time went out was at my farewell party, two months ago! I had such a fun time then, got to see all my dear friends together etc. Still waiting for the pics, tho!( *coughcough* Late *coughcough*)

So the original plan was to meet up in London and then see where we'll go, but then plans changed late Friday night :D Ended up going quickly to Piccadilly Circus. Noticed some good shows going on there, but not sure I'm gonna be able to see any, cause it's a bit too expensive for me. Wanna see Viva Forever, since the last show is on 29th June. Also wanna see the Daniel Radcliffe play~ Then Heli sent me a message if I'd just come straight to Essex... why not... so went there and got us some drinks to start with. Around eight-ish, we went to meet another finnish aupair on the way to the pub in Loughton. Had a few drink, and I'm so happy they have Kopparberg here :D
Around ten-ish we went to this club called Luxe. It was way smaller then the nightclubs in Salo! But got to dance, so whatevva~ I was expecting fake looking women everywhere, but it wasn't so. Okay, all of them were wearing too tight and shot dresses with super-high heels, but still not as fake looking as I was expecting :D
Piritta, me and Heli :)

Heli had dropped her jacket at some point (Kinda was missing coatrooms at that point) and found some guys kicking it... so they ended up joining us for the rest of the night :DD Had super fun with them and took lots of pics on Heli's camera.
They dropped us home and payed for it too~ and just as we saw them drive off, Heli noticed that she has one of the guys iPhone in her hand!! so I thought we'd just call the friend, but it was locked... thank God for a missed call on the phone so we called that person :D well... he found out and told we him that he can come get it in the morning. And since we're such nice people, we took random pics of us :DD then they needed a phone number from the phone so we got the passcode and the next day we put the best pics as wallpapers~ Then the guy said we're such a life saver, when we handed the phone back.. and in my mind i'm thinking "wait till you check your phone xD
Well since I wasn't in any hurry to come back home, I thought I'd go see something in London, but couldn't figure out what. Then decided on Tower of London, but it was a bit cold and I hadn't brought my jacket sooo, came home. And when I arrived the sun decided to show up... blergh....
But it was nice to come home, cause when I opened the door the little one was standing behind the door, all covered in chocolate, and was so happy to see me!! Then I came up to put my bag and heard him shouting for me so had to run down to give him a proper cuddle and let him sit in my lap for a while. He's sho shweet <3

MAYBE gonna go next weekend too, depends if I have to work or not. Heli is leaving in 10 days so next weekend is her last few days..

Miss my girls so~

Gonna start with, I MISS MY FRIENDS SO MUCH <3 there they are.... all together... we had so much fun that day, even though I'd twisted my ankle pretty bad... :'(

Went to the British Museum today :) Was really excited about that and I was ready to spend 5 hours there, cause someone told me that's how long it took her :D BUT there was a problem with getting to the station. I'd checked on the net which bus was going to the station, but when buying the ticket the driver says it's the other bus. No problem, I waited for that other bus. Then he says that it doesn't go to the station either, I should take another bus. A bus that I normally take, so I knew that bus definitely doesn't go to the station. Taxi it is. The rest of the journey went well, though I did get a bit confused when going in the underground :D

Finding the museum was easy enough, just follow rest of the tourists with cameras! Got me one of those audio guide -thingies, but after entering the Ancient Egypt exhibit, I got confused with where it wants me to start.. fuckit, gonna randomly just look at everything. Problem number two: I didn't take my Canon with me this time, but took Lumia instead. I thought I'd turned it off after my last trip to London, but when I took it out I noticed that the battery was critically low. Got one picture of the outside then it turned off. fuck. Had to take pictured with my crappy iTouch.
I was getting a bit pissed at people touching everything, kept cringing whenever I saw someone touching them. Cause I went alone, couldn't really take pics of me... But then at some point I just asked some to take a good pictures of me.
I remember in Louvre the museum was easy to walk through, but here u have to go through one room to get to another. Confused me so much. But I still loved being there!! Had to cut the trip short cause i was getting really hungry and tired. Did see almost 80% of all the exhibits, but will go again to see the rest of the 20%  and take better pictures! :D
Finally went to Pizza Hut!! Oh, so YUMMY~!! want more...

Rosetta Stone. The first thing I went to see :D

'Tis me!!

Wouldn't mind owning this... so pretty~

Look, a mummy!!

Might go again in another two weeks for the whole weekend, maybe meet other Finnish au pairs and celebrate mid-summer :)

Desperate Housewives or Doctor Who marathon?!

The only reason I'm posting another blog this week is cause it's been an easy week and I'm bored :D

I got sick in the starting of the week, so Monday and Tuesday was spent mostly in bed. Finally got an inhaler  so i can finally breath~
Been listening to a lot of Eminem lately.. weird.. I guess I'm in one of those moods again :D
Next London trip is gonna be on the 1.6, so more about London the week after :)

I started watching Desperate Housewives cause I'd started watching it from the fifth season, but I also so want to re-watch the seventh season of Doctor Who. Those who know me, know how much I love that show and will go all nerdy if mentioned. Thank God they started showing it in Finland last summer and one of my friends got hooked on it. She already knew a little bit about it cause of me! :D Got this awesome handmade bag from her as a farewell gift <3

So now I'm watching DW! Started from Asylum of the Daleks cause that's Clara's first appearance and I fell in love with her immediately!! The first time I saw it I did wonder for the whole episode that wasn't Jenna Louise-Coleman supposed to start from the Christmas episode! Well...Gotta love Moffat!! IMDB wasn't any help, so added her to the first episode. Again, LOVED her!!

Now a little bit about the previous companions. Loved them together. Amy I didn't like so much. Dunno why, it's just something about that character that just didn't.. mmeh. Rory on the other hand!! Loved him!! And I love his relationship with Amy and how the Doctor is with the married couple :D
(And in the sixth season, the whole River thing! HIS WIFE!! Didn't see that coming in the Silence in the Library :D)
Ok, so back to the Asylum. The whole episode starts with Amy and Rory about to divorce and they got sent to the Daleks Parliament. Turns out, the Daleks want the Doctor to save them (first dafaq moment). From start to end I was loving Oswins and Doctors bits. "Rescue me Chin Boy and show me the stars" is one of my favorite quotes of the episode.
Well, so turns out Oswin had been turned into a Daleks, but just didn't know it.. Doctor flees with Amy and Rory and the epic line "Run you clever boy and remember" was said for the first time.
Then Oswin somehow got the Doctor removed from the history! That certain bit has yet to be explained.

Next to the last episode for Amy and Rory, The Angels take Manhattan. So long story short, The Doctor discovers a 1930s detective novel that contains exactly what is happening to him and his companions. When Rory disappears, the Doctor Amy must travel to 1938 to recover him, and discover that River is already involved in a plot by the Weeping Angels. Rory arrives in Manhattan first and after Doctor and Amy find him they discover that the Angles are about to send him back in time, so Amy and Rory try to run...away...obviously. When Rory realizes that the only way to escape the Angels is to die.. well...  I cried. Then Amy gets up on the ledge and they jump. The music was so good and well shot scene.... Cried even more. That creates a paradox and they end back where they started, at the graveyard. The TARDIS can now ever go back to New York.
BUT THEN RORY DOES GET ZAPPED TO THE PAST!!! :(
Amy decides she's gonna take the shot and see if she'll get zapped to where Rory is.. well she does, so happy ending (in a way). River mentions that she'll get Amy to write an afterword, meaning the last page the Doctor ripped out. That scene was epic~!!
And a bit of other random thoughts, River and Doctor meeting again after a long period was epic! Amy with River, interesting and amusing. The bit where Rory shouts "You're Melody?!" well... obviously!! "Melody Pond" anyone?!
"Just you wait till my husband gets home." LOVE. IT.

BBC released a clip that wasn't shot for the last episode, where Rory send his dad a letter with his son. If anyone hasn't seen it, here it is: DW -P.S.

That's it for today, will continue later this week! :)

London Calling~

Went to London yesterday!! It was a dream come true~

Had to wake up early in the morning, so I was so tired when I got back home.
I planned to meet another Finnish au pair in front of London Eye, but since the line was huge and we didn't have much time we decided to walk to London Bridge. We decided that we'll come back on weekday. Hopefully the line would be a bit horter. She then went to the Shard and I rushed to IMAX to watch Star Trek Into Darkness. It was awesome!! The 3D was just fantastic and seeing Benedict Cumberbatch on that huge screen... *fangasm* Won't say anything about the movie, cause i don't wanna spoil it to those who haven't seen it yet :D

Came home after 20 and just went straight to take a loooong bath (okay, skyped with parents first). Watched the Doctor Who finale episode and won't say anything about that either :D But next week will write about it, so stay tuned~ So those who might want to read it, watch it first!

I so desperately want to go to the British Museum... might go next Saturday, if I can...

Allonsy~

Bah... Here goes nothing...

So some of my friends have blogs and I've found it very useful, especially since a couple of them live far away from me (well, while I was still in Finland, I mean).

I'm now au pairing in UK, in Surrey. It's been 4 weeks now and i'm here only a couple more months, after which I go back to my home in Finland. The first month has gone well and haven't missed home too much. I miss my room the most since the room here is a bit too small to what I'm used to. Work most days hasn't been too hectic, except the days the little boy (2yo) is too active and wants to be with his mom. I mostly take care of his older sister (9yo).
The town I'm staying in is extremely small so on weekends I've gone to the nearby town which has a big mall. First weekend i just stayed home and went to the grocery store to get me some food. The second weekend I went to see Iron Man 3 (alone) and LOVED IT!!! I've done quite a bit of shopping already, because it got really hot in the first couple weeks I was here and I'd bought too many warm clothes with me... whoops...

I was struggling to find some company nearby, but apparently most of the au pairs are in or closer to London. Got in touch with other Finnish au pairs and will be seeing them in the coming weeks. Wohoo~

I'm going up to London in couple of days to see Star Trek Into Darkness in IMAX, which is gonna be awesome!! And hopefully will be able to go on the London eye, as well. Will be taking pictures then and I'll probably gonna upload them here too :)

Well I'm soon out of battery and Russell Howards Good News is gonna start... so... laters~
